Scorched 3D has been generally well received as it has been featured/included in numerous popular online and print publications including PC World, Maximum PC (CD-ROM), PC Magazine (UK), and GameSpy's Download This!. The game has been downloaded over a confirmed 1.5 million times and is available on most all major download sites, including Download.com, Softpedia, Tucows, FilePlanet, and FileFront. Reviews have generally been positive with Scorched 3D earning a perfect rating on Download.com, Shareup, and Ytanium, as well as a perfect user score on FilePlanet. Favorable reviews were given by Acid Play with a 90% rating, Tucows with 4/5 cows, GamezWorld.de with a 9/10 rating, and The Linux Game Tome with a 4/5 star user rating.
