Are there any options in the game to adjust the settings on text display?

To either turn off word wrapping (reverting back to earlier versions) or to enlarge the area text can display in? (like some sort of invisible boundry to stretch?)

I can tell quickly that the region designated for word wrapping is designed so that text does not overlay or sit behind other GUI objects.

But becuase those objects can be relocated it overrides the need for a locked in boundry.

Plus, for me, trying to read 3 line text on even the smallest sentences gets distracting and hard.

All of the dimensions are stored in the windows.xml file in the data dir.
You can edit the log sizes in here.

Either that or choose small dialog/font sizes in the options.
