Modelers, Please include a screehshot, and a short description with the files, such as: where did the idea come from, problems you overcame in making the model...etc. Also include the .xml code for the tanks.xml file (example below)
INSTRUCTIONS TO ARRANGE AND USE THE .ZIP FILES1.Unzip the file (or compressed folder) into a new folder or an empty temporary directory.
2. In the unzipped files there should always be a tank file with the name of the tank. And in that file a .txt and .bmp(s). Copy and paste the whole tank folder into scorched3d/data/tanks/ (with all the other tank files). For windows users the scorched3d game directory should be under c:/Program Files
3.There may also be an additional accessory file in the unzipped file also. This file should have a different name and should contain a .txt and .bmp(s), like the tank file. Like tank file, copy and paste the whole folder into scorched3d/data/accessories/.
4.The next part is the hard part (not so hard). (I ask the modelers, who place a tank in this post, to have a .txt or a .xml file to use for copy and paste in scorched3d/data/tank.xml. For those who don’t know, the tank.xml is used for Scorched Program to recognize and use the tank and accessories. For instance a tank.xml will look like this…
(EXAMPLE)...
<tank> <name>Bender</name> <catagory>Humour</catagory> <model>bender/bender.txt</model> <projectilemodel>beer_bottle/bottle.txt</projectilemodel> </tank> Copy and paste this whole script into tank.xml. To paste, I have to View Source of the tank.xml and then paste in notepad. Then file/save.
5.Now the new tank should work in Scorched3D. A note for modelers and tank users: There may be a .txt file with instructions or credits please use these and read.
Panthers Tank Pack is a good place for getting all tanks you may be missing. Go to this thread http://www.scorched3d.co.uk/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=2150. Some tanks will not be in it yet. Also he has a tank.xml to replace the old one in Scorch3D/data. If you use this Tank Pack, any tank not in tank.xml will not been seen on your version of Scorched3D. Not a big deal all you have to do is edit the tank.xml.
One last thing. Until all the modelers post their models here, I have placed their threads that I have found. And any questions I refer to these posts.

HWB asked for this idea to be posted, and he created it for all of the modelers to have a sticky together. any links with fun models, code, or whatever, can be added at any time.

Have made a new tank from Angus Oblong's book Creepy Susie. His characters where made into the t.v.cartoon The Oblongs. I you like dark humor I'd recommend this book.
My love of my life plays Scorched3D with Creepy Suzie nickname. The worst of making think model was the hands. Not that it was hard but that my first models the hands like Freddy Krugers. My wife was ok with that first model. But with a few hours more I redid the hands. I like them so much better now.
I made a new accessory called catpower. So Creepy Susie launches cat out of her bazooka. In the book Susie has a collection of dead rats and chickens. I was gonna have the bazooka throw out dead rats but my wife like the idea of cats better.
The only problem with this tank it was over 16k triangles. I don't know this mean but it works fine on my computer.
Without further ado here is Creepy Susie Tank...
