Rommel, please stop trying to reason in public at this point, i doubt that anyone will stick its neck out at this moment in time. If you are doing it to prove the point that there are irrational forces at work, thats been done.
If you choose to go ahead with arguing for better(any) rules i suggest you do it in private, i know its hard when people dont listen or simply dont respond.Its all part of the irrationality that plagues us.

If i am wrong and anyone wants to discuss the rules i may hope that there will be something constructive, for now i fear that its deja vu.

Agreed completely that no one, NO ONE will make rules on Rommel's terms.

I give him the same respect he gave me in answering a post with a simple yes or no. He gave me no respect on an answer simply saying "the defense rest."

What is a sock puppet? Its either a sock over someones hand with googley eyes, or it is a fake double identity used online to deceive identities. You may be confused.

Or it has a different meaning, what in your head constitutes this sockpuppet.

Please care to explain, before i have to assume that you accuse me and rommel of being the same person.

So better be thorough in your explanation and choose your words carefully. I dont want to do a live show where rommel and i use socks over our hands to make sense of the term you use.

Oh - I did not want to insinuate that you where Rommels sock-puppet, I'm so very sorry. No, I wanted your advice for this delicate problem. My nephews friend had encountered at least one of those sock-puppet accounts in a completely unrelated forum and he asked for my advice.

As you know, Rommel and I are not the best of friends, you being the other half of this dedicated law & order community, within the community, must surely know what to do about it and what the consequences for the puppet master should be. The thread was already off topic, so why not ask good old bazzz about it.

I hear some sarcasm but you seem to be asking something reasonable.

Assuming your nephew has some solid evidence and not just a personal grudge and paranoid traits wich causes him to see things that are not there he should contact the Admins who should be able to decide how to deal with this stuff, they are the authority.Of course it may just be possible that the admins are sympathetic to this offender and complaining may only work against himself.Or the admins are just unable to control theirselves let alone the forum, then its a tough deal.It would come down to fight or flight for him.

If something like this happened on this forum and i would have something to say about it it would be a serious offence and warrents action. Unfortunatly there are no rules agains it and if such a thing happened would only increase the divide since there is a history of admins publicly critisizing others claims of what the rules are.

For something like this to be solved correctly there should be a rule that covers such abuse, the admins should come to a consensus about the evidence and consequenses. Then the person would be contacted in private on what it is he is accused of and given the chance to defend himself. If he or she doesnt have a satisfactory explanation and the admins remain convinced of the charges and punishment it would be effectuated.

I hope this is a satisfactory answer to your nephew and you.As soon as the forum is unlocked i will respond there unless you are not fully convinced of the correctness of the content.
