Actually, I ruined it for the generally populous in November, just wanted to note that fact, for a completely not random reason.

I like what you're doing and have played with the idea a little myself. I'm not sure if the model sizes you are using will crimp your style or force you to use excessily large maps, but if so, perhaps there is is a viable option. In case you weren't aware, you can decrease the tank size to the point of being totally invisable on the main screen. The tag you use is:
Code:
<name>TankModelSize</name>
<value>100</value>

and can be found in the display.xml file in your /.scorched directory.

At the time, I was trying to design maps that were scaled to be true to life. A nuclear plant is much larger than a stadium, a factory is much larger than a house, a city block is much larger than a tank, etc..

Be forewarned that I never tested this option online. Playing offline all of the tanks are increased or decreased by the same amount. I abandoned this idea as it is most likely a local option only (like the GL Shaders) and would not change the way other players see the field. You might want to try it for yourself and see. If this works for network players, then you may find that by decreasing the tank sizes you can get the same look without eating up all the landscape with only a few models.

Anyone know how to, or could make a heart or smiley face (don't ask about what happened when I tried to do that)

Also is it possible to have a item use a parachute while not actually showing that the chute?

It would be easier to just describe it.

I'm looking for a simple heart, 3d or 2d would work.

As to the smiley, can you make it a ball with a face graphic that can be changed out.

Had an interesting idea, A frog weapon that the face changes with each bounce. From, smile -> neutral -> sad -> mad -> evil

you get the idea :)

I like the smiley face that is is more of a symbol, the other one isn't exactly what I'm looking for. I was trying to do a ball with a smiley face on one side of it. More FaceBall 2000 style. (though round eyes are better) :D

I should put this in another topic..

I know how to make it look like theres energy building up in front of a tank
(I think it will work, using multi explosions of different sizes) but I
cannot figure out how to get the "lines" of energy that many shows and
games use to make it look like it being gathered. The game engine
makes it go upward when trying to animate it in the explosion effect.
