I dont think this has been posted yet, so I am putting it myself.

Would it be possible to turn off right click buying for the next release, it is rather annoying when scrolling around to end up buying some stuff as the buy screen suddenly pops up (cos of the slow a**, cheap a** people have FINALLY loaded).

I know we could be more patient and wait until it pops up before looking around for where everyone is, but sometimes its a struggle to buy the things you want with a look around anyway.

It is not just myself that has had this problem, which is why I am now requesting it.

i have also left clicked just as it has popped up too, which is rare, but just as annoying, but I am aware that little can be done about this.

Please Please Please stop it, I do not see the point of having right click buying anyway (left handers nearly always switch left/right buttons anyway).

I agree 100% m8.

For the person who choose the "I don't see the problem" option...

Sometimes you are right clicking furiously while you wait for the others to catch up with the other peoples fast computers.

Then suddenly the buy menu appears and your reaction is to slow for it considering that there is no warning of when it is going to pop up.

So now you just right clicked on something you didn't want such as a sandhog.

You could sell those hogs back for MOST of the money but not all...

Those few lost bucks could be the reason why you lose the game.

What i'd request is a feature that lets you sell weapons for 100% of the price if you bought them in the same round. That is, instead of instantly buying the weapon, you create a "shopping cart" for this round, possibly returning some items, and only when you accept by "ok" you actually buy the stuff.

This one has merit.

Also would let us implement the Missed buy feature that seems to be
slipping on the last 3-4 versions..

Currently, players Missing a Buy still get the items they chose..

I'm getting to the point on my servers, with players continually
Exploiting it, that i'm thinking of reducing missed turns to 0.

You get caught missing a Buy.. Ejected!!

Hmm, I sometimes miss a buy on your servers, but that's mainly because I'm so crap at finding the specific weapon that I want, that I run out of time. Adding (re-introducing?) a missed-buy feature would be good, though.

I'm in favor of both of these ideas although, I suspect I'll get caught by the timer more than most.

Im actually not entirely up for this one, althought it does have merit, sometimes your running low on time as is, without adding more clicks to the process.

I didnt know that what you click gets bought anyway (I got back from making tea once and JUSt had time to click missiles but needed a half second more to click buy, was only come next buying I realised I had bought them, but assumed i mangaed to click buy).

As for missed buying / moves, maybe an option for skipping all moves/buys would be good, as people need the loo / drink / food ro SOMETHING during a game, but you dont get much time especially if you keep being one of the last to die (which always seems to happen to be when IO wanna be afk).
When you return, you simply click cancel like you do now for skip all moves, but it would carry over to the next round / buying, without holding people up.

even better STILL, a message could be displayed to say someone is away and put it on the end of their name ingame and when returning a message is displayed again, so if nice people didnt target them, they wouldnt just return and kill you without you knowing!

Oh the decisions the devs have to make!

IDK if this was suggested yet cuz I didn't read the replies.
I'm running low on time here.

But maybe there could be an option to allow/disallow right-click buying.

I'm sure it wouldn't be to hard to do.

I don't see why not, although I was tempted to go with the last option since you called me a cheap azz (I have one of the slowest load times of all the players). Actually I haven't voted yet, so we'll see about that! :P

As for selling items back at 100%, options are always good so ppl can customize their own servers to their hearts content. Personally I don't like the setting, since it takes away some of the money management considerations imo. Then you might as well have all bundle sizes set to 1 as well. That would mean that all the item prices would have to be reconsidered, or balance would be shifted alltogether.

I have similar feelings about the "missing a purchase" feature. I don't see why the option should not be available, but I'd rather not see it implemented on any server I play on. There are several reasons as to why you would run out of time, and personally I find that it mostly happens when you are undecided on the strategy you want to implement for your game. I feel missing the whole buy would be way too harsh a punishment.

Maybe we should have a poll: "Do you think right-click buy may have been implemented for a reason?"

All in favour of having a poll for having a poll to decide if people should have polls before starting a poll?

Definately, without a shaddow of a doubt, the more polls the better.

I am glad people are picking up on my way of thinking!!!

Actually, just been thinking, maybe I'll change my name to PollManPeanut...

now, to make a poll to ask about it....

I don't think there has been any effort put into making right-click buy stuff. That's just how the game's GUI engine works. You'll probably discover that right-click works the same way with all things click-able.

Just about every day I buy stuff I don't want  . Yesterday it was a DH! . It's my fault, but I do support the no right click buying idea.

I think if you sell all of what you bought, you should get 100% back. Like if you buy a DH for 30k and sell it back, you should get the 30k back. If you buy 10 rollers and sell all 10 back. But not if you sell half back. This way, if at anytime, for any reason you don't want what you bought because you decided something else would be better, it would simulate never have buying it.

Thrax.....what do you mean by "using the exploit"? What does it exploit? I've done that many times because i am too slow. Never on purpose.

I've done that many times because i am too slow. Never on purpose.

The phrase "Player X failed to buy" has become a joke...
It used to work as it should.. preventing them from getting the items, and
failing thier turn.

Now, they don't even have to bother pressing the OK button. They just
pick some items and start chatting... ignoring the timer and delaying
everybody.

Abusing a bug, and laughing at the results.. that type of exploit.

Not getting the items 'used to' be the result. It's not something new that
should be added, it's something old and broken to be corrected.. solo, or
online.. online especially, since that's where the most abuse is.
