I keep getting

scorched\src\glext\glew.h(1123) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'GL/glu.h': No such file or directory

and

\net\NetBufferUtil.cpp(25) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'winsock2.h': No such file or directory

and

..\server\ServerMain.cpp(22) : fatal error C1083: Cannot open include file: 'windows.h': No such file or directory

in many spots as it builds the three exe files.

I have the SDK and updated Visual C++ to SP1

Looks like you haven't configured the SDK include directories to be used in the visual c configuration.

I rechecked it and I do have the paths listed as in step 4.

I'm going to try redownloading the file for the game and then try compiling again

And are the paths valid? Or did you install somewhere else?

I added the paths for the SDK myself, so there vaild but I still seem to be getting massive error and now some warnings

LoggerI.cpp
..\common\LoggerI.cpp(40) : warning C4996: 'ctime': This function or variable may be unsafe. Consider using ctime_s instead. To disable deprecation, use _CRT_SECURE_NO_WARNINGS. See online help for details.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\include\time.inl(88) : see declaration of 'ctime'

+plus other errors I didn't get before.


I'm out of ideas, it used to build just fine before my computer messed up...

Could having the file on different partitions affect the build?

Never mind, didn't work. I have no clue as to why it won't work on this reinstall and would on the first install, when every part of the install is the same.

PS

If it is still going to be a month or so for release of 41 can I bum some compiled EXEs to work on my new mod for 41.

For win, DS make's them for the public, and for *nix, i think there's a
few that have done it successfully
Gavin's changed a lot every day the last while, so everyone will need to be updated.

I still haven't gotten a chance to upload the newest set of changes yet. Today took longer than expected to compile the changes and I didn't have time to upload it. I'll try again tomorrow though.... -errrr later today.
