Took me a minute to duplicate this....
It only happens to me if my mouse wanders off of the "slider path" a bit. As long as I keep the mouse straight along the slider, it doesn't do it, but if it wanders at all, it does.

No fix or anything, just more info. ;)

Made a small change so that all windows absorb scroll events, need to see if things like the invisible log window make this a little silly.
