I've been thinking I should start some work soon on the Scavenger mod for version 41. It'll be quite a while before that's released, I think, but I want to at least start gathering thoughts.

If anyone has any likes/dislikes, more this or less that comments, fire away. :)

Your custom maps are quite good. some more themed ones would help.
as well.. increase the variety of weapons you reward.

take island wars to the max.. Have 2 Half-sunken battle-ships. blowing
apart the unmanned turrets while collecting gifts.

Praire dogs popping out of the ground!

For that matter take one from me, power ups that come out of the ground (or at least make them just appear on the ground *poof*)and more enviromental damager.

I wonder if it will be possible to have objects on the roof of a cavern in 41?

Can't see why not. i don't think placing them is any different, just
the propperties of what's placed.

Scorch-Wars has object and target placements that are attached
to roof-racks. Knocking them down for prizes is great fun, since the
Tie-Fighters also explode when landing.. hopefully on Foes. :D

You know I like the small weapons in alctraz. More maps with with weapon set would be cool. Other than that....I hate the ship map. :(
Dirt would be cool also. I can see ppl dirting cargo. Why you ask....just because they can. Or maybe dirt a gas station so it dosen't explode with a missile hit. I love dirt but dirt is frowned upon in the main server. Also would be cool with explosion type of boy's dirt charge.

Have a tank in a warehouse with a sheild around it. The falling damage from the building would be cool on the sheild.

How about Roswell?

A map with a bunch of UFOs just chillin in the sky...

These UFOs should be able to be shot down and fall on the enemy.

Also they leave behind money or weapon(s)

There should be a few little aliens on the ground and maybe even an alien weather balloon. :lol:

Good ideas - thanks. It's really helpful to hear what people really like or dislike. :)

Summary for me:
- more variety in targets
- more variety in weapons
- more Theme Maps - both in landscape and in accessories
- Alien Invasion map (I really like that idea!)
- dirt or similar (Could there be a way to have a weapon invoke a shield on an object or tank?)
- More/better environmental interaction (ie: crumbling smokestack etc)

Jdog made a shield-trap. missile that spawns tiny object that make's
a shield. however.. it does not stop victims from firing out. only adds
more protection while pinning them from driving away. if player has a
reflect shield, it can instead cause the bullets to impact outer shell and
splash the bouncy harder than a ricochet.

Boy though I though change my mod to something close to that before, for the strange landscapes I have. Plus I have UFOs!!! (note to self, ufo targets :twisted: :twisted: )

Thrax is right, I have the shield trap weapon, though I don't remember being able to shoot out if I was fully in the shield.

(The orginal idea was to have a weapon that dropped rolls, then a few seconds later have a shield pop up about the rollers and keep them traped about a tank, especial ones using shields. Since shields are solid, the rollers became hyper missiles when the shield went up.

Shields are solid, can't keep rollers inside them like that.

Make sure to make use of transparency on projecitiles.

maybe a sticky roller that apeals to sheildin targets. they heat seak sheilds and stick on the sheild..

but for thoes without sheild are safe cause they roll over and don't dmg...

rollers that just stick to sheilds.
empires arn't built in a day it takes time and planin to see it to the end...

I was thinking maybe a couple suare shields placed around it... kinda like a fence. Just a thought. ;)
