Every night at 12:30 CST there is a mass kicking where all but one get kicked. I know I should go to bed before that but since I don't thought I'd mention it. Pain in the butt since the game starts over and usually I'm winning at that time :).

Hi POM:

I observered this last night while playing against the bots. I was the only one playing, I was the only one kicked. I checked the main server and found that everyone but sergey had been kicked.

I suspect that the recurrence of this at approximately the same time each day indicates a scheduled server reboot. Why one or more players remain connected but others don't, seems to be the issue.

Not having the specifics on the server I can't give you a proper explaination.

Take care,

Rommel

Update Tuesday AM :

Today at approxamately 1:32 A.M. EST (GMT - 5) the server hiccuped again as expected. Tonight however, I remained connected and resumed play after approximately 50 seconds.

It appears to be a timing issue. Some players time out, some do not.

That is all for now.

Yes the last couple of nights in a row the same thing happened in main. A big long pause then the game resumes no one being kicked.

On those nights when it's just you and Mrs. P exchanging shots, a LAN server might suit you better. Not only should you be able to enjoy an uniterrupted game of Scorched 3D (use the none mod) you should find that you have NO LAG.

When we are just lobbing shots at eachother we are doing so in the hopes that some of our friends stop by. For some reason no one ever stops by when we are using a LAN server :D

Yep. Same thing thing happens to me at the same time. About 99% of the time, I just go ahead and quit when the game freezes like that. Kinda frustrating, but I take it as Gavin's way of telling me that I need my sleep. :)
