Hi Exiled One:
My post wasn't directed at you, but at this constant demand that something needs to be changed. As strange as this may seem, several of the change requests seem to favor the sharp shooter over the strategic thinker which I find very undesirable. Unless there is a hack that spits out strategic options based on the map and the placements, your brain is still the best weapon you can use that isn't included in the game.
My objection to change is for the emotionally charged requests by players that can't make their tired old strategy work anymore because someone else has found a way to defeat them using a weapon that they don't use and don't like to have to defend against.
No, it's not dirt, it's your brain. If you develop a tactic, any tactic, that makes others change their play style, they have to think. This upsets some and they start a campaign to destroy your tactic by changing the game instead of adapting their tactics to overcome yours. This isn't beneficial change, it is madness. The strategic player will take the time to develop another strategy and the complaints will begin all over again.
When the scoring was being changed I asked why. It was a waste of everyones time and I provided evidence that it wasn't as simple as changing the win, kill and assist points. The change implemented only made it difficult to calculate the requirements to take the lead. Nothing else changed. I still dirt when I see fit, I still win a fair share of the games I play and there are still runaway games.
So, if there are real problems that need to be addressed, count me in for support. Other than that, I think this issue has been beaten to death and wish everyone would learn to compensate for the in game weapons. They are the only way we can compensate for the hacks. The best way to compenstate for a failed strategy is to develop a new one. That is the game, that is life.
Hoping to hog you soon,
Rommel

To me it's not a question about whether there are useful counters to dirt or not. There are quite a few in fact. That you need a combination of items (save hogs that are somewhat unreliable though) that all cost more or much more than dirt does present a problem afaic. In addition one of the dirt weapons (can't remember the name) still allows for building those huge dirt towers that were supposed to be gone by now. This is what I mean by dirt being unbalanced.
Kudos on figuring out the best way to maintain status quo Romm though, namely: 1. Refuse to get into a debate about any specific suggestions. Never ever outline exactly why you don't think they would work using logic or examples. That would be bad as the other guy might be able to aptly respond. 2. Go on the offensive and make some degrading comments about ppls abilities and roll your eyes while suggesting that they learn to play the game instead of wasting your time. 3. Sometime after hitting hmmm let's say page 3 do the "voice of reason" bit and suggest that we should all move on to more important stuff than this petty issue. 4. Find an old "controversial" topic to quote alt. find a word or phrase to pick apart to create a sidetrack that will derail the current flow of the thread. I am sure there is more that I forgot to mention. Still, continued use of these four classics will most likely ensure that changes will happen as seldom and as slowly as the have for the last 3 years.

I find it extremely funny Rommel that you believe your 'strategy' is better than other people who consistantly gain game wins while you flounder under a pile of dirt half way down the table.
I wouldn't even put you in the top 20 of the current best players. Although it is amusing when you try dirting other people and completely miss, or is that part of your tactic, to keep wasting shots and money?
Honestly, you continue to speak to us all as if you're at the level of Raden where your tips would be greatly appreciated, but to say that we need to learn to play the game, as you imply you already know is stupid, you are not a good player, stop trying to make out you are one!

Hey Nuts,
BACKOFF
........
I learn while playing. I have seen him play with dirt charger. I learned something from him. That was, he is one of the best in using his brains and his humorous words during different times. It doesnt matter if he isnt the level of Raden or not...he matters most for pro-dirters and others...for me he is #1 ally against every single person that hates my tactics.
You know something Nut, you dont have strategy...you are open to get your butt whooped with no way to shield yourself from my attacks. Thats why all of you complain because you have nothing to defend yourselves with, even though you could buy it cheap.

Dude, not every one is perfect with their shots. We all use strategy. You cant proof that he was missing....people do certain things in order to survive.
For me his tips are greatly appreciated even if they are mean ones that I got one time. But overall, he is a great player.
None of the player in the scorch community are great or #1 or they are god...rank doesnt account for anything only for kills, only their actions account how great of a player they are. Some will like him and others would hate him.
Please, you the plaintiff are missing from the Time topic, do respond.

There is far more to strategy than dirt.
I have met great tactition here that do not use dirt, dirt does not make a great strategist.

Well Nuts,
I and General not only use dirt but other tactics too. The only tactic you guys remember most is our dirt tactic. All of you guys have a static mind set that is only set on dirt and nothing else.
Using dirt doesn't make you the greatest tactician or the greatest strategist but it does get you to become good at using it to your own benefit and use other tactics in combination with it.
Nut's....I missed you ....I thought you wouldn't talk to me anymore. Oh well, good to see ya again.

So, ALL of the rest of us don't see your game plans and nor do we have any ourselves and yet you guys hardly ever win anything.
Wow, I SO wish I was that narrow minded!

Hey Nuts,
We dont have game planned before we play but they come as we are playing, we dont funkie someone unless there are 3 or 5 players near each other. We are not narrow minded, we are much broader. We use all weapons while you guys are narrow minded who use just a few not all. None of use dirt or riots. We try all but only the dirt weapon on our part gets noticed by you guys because you guys are dormant on using dirt.
I use different weapons depending on my need or what can work best in what kind of situation.
And NO, we are not narrow minded people and dont wish to be. The broader the better is better. More choices. My dirt choice is what is saved in your memory not the others that I use. I use hogs and use rollers more than dirt.
Keep that in mind Nuts.
And BB, I think the Dirt Charger grows larger when it is used near a water. I think that was what I heard from someone.

Buy diggers and wear chutes, carry riot bombs and keep the fuel topped up, re-evaluate your tactics to help them evolve to overcome tedious adversity, practice killing or dying instead of complaining and never ever forget to bring a towel.
