Hi, I don't much know where to make requests for tank models, but I've seen a few here on these forums, and I've regestered for the hope of requesting a few.

1: Sophia the third (Sophia III) from Blaster Master
2: Sophia the 4th from Blaster Master for Genisis
3: Sophia J7 from the PSx (ps1).

4: A few colors of Tron Tank
White,Blue,Red,Green:

5: The "Big Trax" programmers first tank toy,
ᅟ.1 The old Grey, with tight wheel spacing.
ᅟ.2 and the new White with the wider wheel spacing,
ᅟwhich is actually re-purposed in the game MassEffect1
ᅟᅟᅟ(Probably brought into the programmers office to play with,
ᅟᅟᅟby Seth Green who voice acted in the game,
ᅟᅟᅟand likes old toys (likely owned one)).

6: The BattleZone tanks, .1 Original (wire-frame), .2 BattleZone 64 (90's Black modern), .3 Battlezone2 (2000 smooth futuristic).

7: The Starfox tank N64 version, & Gamecube version.

If the process for making them myself didn't require years of college education, or expensive programs I can not afford, or tons of time spent on failures before arriving at a semi-accurate rendition that could be forgotten and replaced in half an instant by anyone with an ounce more experience in this process then myself. ... i would.

So instead, I simply offer the ideas and expression of my hopes, to those whom have talent greater then I in this specialization. [-o<

I'm sorry if this was posted in an incorrect portion of the forum.
I just wanted to express my dreams for vehicles that would be lovely to have in Scortched3d

I'm actually doing a skin for Sophia the 4'th (light blue, whites and black), for this game:

As they don't have the Genesis model of the blaster master tank yet. #-o

I've been bitten by the tank bug in the process, and so I've been poking around for days looking for nice images of all the tanks i mentioned in my first post. In fact that research landed me on this forum. Yay!ⵅ \:D/ \☺/

And then i remembered playing scorched3D game like 10 years ago. So i downloaded the current version, and will surprise my BF with it, as he doesn't know about scortched3d but loves the popcicles out of the original scorchedearth game! ❥♡წ :love:

Pew pew! doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo-doo Boom! Ahh the beep boop beeps of the Mac and IBM days. I was always fascinated (still am) with vectors, though not quite the same 2d way as him! *^p^*

All this is a big diversion from the joystick driver I'm supposed to be writing. *fuss* I feel so detached from gaming, maybe it's the curse of the programmer. You spend so much time developing the code you cant even see it as a game any more.. and in my case, i can do some sprite art, or human interface device drivers/software. Maybe a few application tools or what not. and that's really about the extent of my skill set. i know how to plot <ve,ct,or> points algebraically. And even apply some sudo physics and basic calculus. I'm cozy with loops# eating pi cos gui's hid in sin while() bools sleep() bitwise in binary math. @෴@⁉ :shock:

But actually drawing vector art with those fancy pants programs?... i can barely make "gimp" obey my will. gimp geometry would probably have me tearing my hair out. ](*,)
And I'm sure my bf wouldn't much appreciate that. [-X *^p^*

You build the chassis, I'll program the rover. *^p^* And as long as our floating point precision is fairly rounded, the whole engine wont blow up! :lol:

Anyway ArmorWraith I do hope you enjoy the process if you do pick it up. there are some days i feel relieved from stress just spending time looking up images of 80's/90's nostalgia.
Usually in the form of TANKS! >:D

Anyway, if you could post some of your reference images that would be great. The less research I have to do, the faster I can get to directly modeling them. :)

Hey Dire, Im thinking something similar to this for your wolf model remix. Maybe black and red though? I will be limited by the number of faces, but Ill do my best. :)

It will have a gun somewhere mounted on it. :twisted:

I almost peed my pants when I saw this!!!!

I tried moving the Wolfzoid model to the no mod tank folder and copied the input on the wolf model from Merge to the tank.txt file, making sure there was a flare.txt in accesories but with no luck.

I did get an error "Dynamic help displays the xsd:documentation for the selected node. You currently have no associated XML schema or your selected node has no corresponding xsd:documentation in an xsd:annotation. "

Your XML document contains no xml-stylesheet processing instruction. To provide an XSLT transform, add the following to the top of your file and edit the href attribute accordingly:

<?xml-stylesheet type="text/xsl" href="stylesheet.xsl"?>

You can also enter the XSLT file name using the above text box, but this will not persist with your XML document.

The following HTML is provided by the default XSLT transform which is designed to pretty print your XML document.

I could get lost in all this and love it!!!

I made you a color palette chart, so you can get an idea of how you would like it to look.

I need a few decisions from you:

1) Color Palette
2) Weapon Choice
3) Weapon Placement

(The above picture was actually a hyena, so I spliced a couple ideas into a reasonable form I think.)

It is like your reading my mind, the red and black or the red and orange at the bottom look mighty nice! and the twin turrets would completely balance it out!
