 Post subject: V42 Mods Debugging Feedback

Location: In a Rental.
So far, over a dozen of the mods have been made current.

However, I've gottten reports that some of them don't work propperly
under *nix os's.

So that I can dig thru and repair these issues, can I have some of the
reports posted here with some more details? Possibly error logs or displayed
error-box's.

I believe some of it may have to do with the file path redirecting to Apoc
mod files.

The more info I get, the better I can repair them.

I highlighted what I think the cause of the error is, telling a unix type system to ../ tells it to go up one level in the file tree, and /.. is go down one so I believe it is simply getting lost looking for files. I looked in the xml file of the mod and modified it to remove references as such, but had no luck.

Any thoughts? If it is something in my system, or you just think I'm full of it, please let me know.

ok. Thank-You.
That's what i thought. i'll snip the called files and place them directly
into the mod. this will need to be done for several of them. Please note
any other mods that fail in this manor.

Cured, i believe. Error was due to the Folder name being in Caps.
*Nix systems are picky about that. A capital letter and a lower case are
not the same to that file system.

Corrected and restarted. Retry Classic and let me know.

This error was similar. The redirecting needed to point it to another mod's
files other than default.. have become rather bothersome. I simply moved
that, and many other referanced items, into scav itself. It should be better
now, i'll reload it so you can test it as well.

perfect. that's exactly the type of info i am asking for.

Again, it's merely a Caps error in the text of the map-objects file.
Cured that one, and re-loaded again. Thanks, keep reporting them. Every
bit make's them better for everyone.

Crap, is this on my end? im not sure....
i fixed the land by deleting the surround tag then loaded funky town, but for some ungodly reason, i loaded funky town and it did not even load the mod just your basic scorched 3d game!

As expected, weed's errors are the typical redirected-path errors related
to files in apoc.. I'll have to go thru it and put those files into the mod itself.

Kanga's seems to be something i missed in the landscaping. Surrounds
were removed and replaced by a different method. Thought i had them all..
guess not.
