Hi all,

new things will be in store for panthermod within the next couple months. watch this space for details.
the true mark of a skilled player is the ability to adapt. If a player cannot adapt, then maybe that player wasn't all that skilled to begin with...

new death's head type (dont know what to call it yet)----- a deaths head that fires in the four compass directions....

added old death's head with a new twist. projectile model is the panther head....

With Thrax's help

I have replaced the babay missile (pistol) and missile completely.

baby missile replacement

Shred-missile -fires three mini missiles which are offset in position and time so they look like three launches.

missle replacement

Barrage =fires ten mini missiles which are set to fire in sequense one right after the other like some sort of box launcher.

Alos

low poly models have been added for those of you who have to set tank detail to low.

that's all for now!

removed:

- the chicken canoon tank

- the rubber chicken accessory

it seems that downloading rubber chicken has caused at least one person to disconnect from my servers, so I removed these two items.

and panthermod has been renamed to

pinkpanther

We will try again tonight and let you know. Last night just as you and swan disconnected I got in again and then was kicked almost immediately (before I ever made a shot). Just FYI and I was too tired to take a screeny of why.

I've got a couple of issues/comments:

1. Whenever I shoot a digger, the program locks up. After some trial and error, the only solution is playing in safe mode w/ small resolution (800 x 600), and then I still don't have sound. I know that my computer is not the greatest, but the only problem weapon is the prairie dog diggers. (Nice effect btw.) I usually play at 1024 x 640, medium textures (except for tanks) and No GL Extensions. I can play at this level just fine until I shoot a digger. I'm not saying you have to change anything, just putting this out there in case others have the same problem.

2. Snowballs are too strong. A bot killed me in one shot when I had the best shield (Panther Shield) on. Once the snowballs are activated, it becomes a snowball fight w/ the bots preferring that weapon and usually killing w/ one shot. I like the fact that they are strong, but you might want to shorten the "freeze" time since they cover such a large area.

3. I had a Panther shield and tried to sniper shoot a Snowstorm (so I know it was 1000 power with nothing in my way). It looked like the snowballs hit the inside of my shield and dropped straight down, killing me.

1. Odd, the only real difference there is the sounds and little model
popping up. Might be a wav issue or model-flaw.

2. Probably are... Snowball is a heavy-class weapon to start with, but
some balancing may be needed.

3. Ah... SnowStorm is an Apex-drop weapon. Shooting with a low
elevation will trigger it sooner than intended.

Anything else? the bots were recently redone a bit .. they used to love
dirt a bit too much.
