I have just installed OpenSuSE 10.3 on my system today, used the standard nvidia driver that came with the distro to start with, compiled scorched and it ran, just INSAINELY slowly, prob around 1-2 fps even with water off, but would run with all prettiness options on.

I then installed the nvidia driver and got good performance with shaders and shadows off (40 fps) so I tried with fully detail, but when I do, I get the following error as its about to display the main game menu.

The Scorched3d process terminated due to configuration errors.
GLFrameBufferObject : FBO Init

I have attached the Client log aswell:

This only happens with Shaders on.

Its pretty much pointing at the Nvidia driver, but I could run it all fine in mandriva (admitadly with their version of the same driver) so I know its not that my card is unable to cope with it.

Any help would be much appreciated as it seems I havea chance of having full water detail and a reasonable frame rate now, which would be cool as the water effects are FAB!

i just tried turning on the GL shader, GL shadow thing on my desktop with ATI card. s3d works, and somehow it feels faster than when i turn them off
