Hiya-
So I've introduced my roommate to Scorched, he's completely hooked, and now we wanna play a LAN game. I'm on an iMac G4 1.0GHz, 768 RAM running 10.4.7. Scorched v40 runs great solo, and when he and I are playing head to head on my machine. I'd like to set up a game where we can play against each other (with some bots) over the LAN. He's running a dual PIII 450, XP Pro, which runs Scorched just fine solo.

I surmise that the best way to do this is to set up a server on my machine, then he and I can log into it and play against each other. But Scorched keeps crashing with an "abnormal termination" when I run the server. Is there a log or a diagnostic I can use to identify the cause?

Thanks for any help,
Drewstre

The only log is the server log that can be configured to write to file. There is no diagnostics log.

When does the server crash, when you connect or during play?

Hiya-
Well, it's frustrating because it doesn't do it _every_ time, but I'd say probably 9 out of 10 attempts it'll crash.

As for when it crashes:
It's after I set up the game, right when the game starts.
-Loading global mods, weapons and tanks goes fine
-Window displaying server stats comes up
-Message says "starting in 10 seconds"
-Message says "starting in 5 seconds"

Five seconds later, it crashes with an Abnormal Termination. Boom.

Any help would be most appreciated...

Thanks,
Drewstre
