The 'new' new posts gif is not working for me and I had an 'old' new posts display just now with the old yellow new post gif. That still worked.

thanks. here's a confession: i havent done the animated gifs yet. i was delaying it because it's a pain in the bum. if you look closely, youll also see that the icons for user control panel and new messages have a blue border and theyre still blended against white.

it seems nice, overall, i think. ive tried switching back to the old forum theme a couple of times, just for comparison. i prefer the new one by a mile.

there're stlll a load of minor tweaks to make.

yea, it's good, although just noticed, could do with some border-radius on this table/div whatever.

Partly because it's something newb IE users won't see yet. :)

which table/div? could you demo if you have ideas? any old ms paint sketch would do.

there's no css3 here. we're cross-browser back to IE6 (hopefully).

i am starting to wish id used alpha for the border images. it took so long to put all this together, the 'finally no longer need to cater for IE6' thing pretty much came upon us mid project.

we already have a nice webm '5 video' demo above for that. CSS3 can be nice - i expect it'll be many a year before IE give in and support it. that's up to them. webm support isnt, though, so...

here's a note to MS and Apple (i know youll read this : ):

wake up and add webm support. you dont set the standards, we do.
add it immediately, or youll lose the rest of your market share, and that's
bound to cost more than anything you 'could make' by forcing your own
stuff onto your... increasingly marginalised user base, why not.

    learn your lessons, please ty.

Just a note, in the Online Servers section of the redesigned site,
comes up with a box area and slider for the server list,
is it possible to change the color of the section that lists the number
of players waiting?

i.e.

Players
3/16
(0 plrs)

To something more visually striking like

Players
4/16
(1 plrs)

I think it would make it all the more easy to see that even if a server is
tagged with the yellow warning dot that there's some bloke just waiting
for players to join.

yes. done. i spent something like - i dont like to think how long, rewriting the server list page. i have a beautiful real time async page ready to go. i cant switch it without gcamp's help on the chat stuff, and i think he's probably busy working on the important stuff. (maybe for v44)

put minor tweaks and suggestions here if y'could - we mustnt clutter the news forum with it. i dont know why it's in offtopic and not general. i think i wanted to keep it loose and easy : ).

That's neat and makes the reading far easier on the eyes, thank you :) I can't wait to see the improvements you have in store, I think that a usage/traffic times graph would be neat too, help players know when there are more players and such, I think you had already shown something in another thread. Thank you :)

C'mon, I think I am not mistaken in thinking that the color change is just adding a few lines of conditional code and a snippet of HTML, is that so LD? :) I do however appreciate it, to me I can spot the servers with people on at once and not get My hopes high and then see that it's just bots having fun in the dark.

Peanut, when are you coming online? You've been slowly falling away from me in that standing's sheet... ;)

When there are people online and I'm not busy dude.
Hopefully get some games in this morning as had a really early night (7pm, asleep by 8) as I was tired and wanna watch the rugby @ 8.30am down the pub with a pint in my hand. Just didn't expect to then be wide awake @ 0000.

And I'm slipping back, cos you, POM and Ellie all rapped me for points the other night. I hardly got any playing you {33T newbs!
