Yes, I knew civilians were being destroyed and knew it perhaps
in a way others didn't. Yet I never preached a single sermon
against killing civilians to the men who were doing it. - George Zabelka

He was a cowboy, mister, and he loved the land. He loved it so
much he made a woman out of dirt and married her. But when he
kissed her, she disintegrated. Later, at the funeral, when the
preacher said, "Dust to dust," some people laughed, and the
cowboy shot them. At his hanging, he told the others, "I'll be
waiting for you in heaven--with a gun." - Jack Handy

Last year my federal tax bill — the income tax I paid, as well as payroll
taxes paid by me and on my behalf — was $6,938,744. That sounds
like a lot of money. But what I paid was only 17.4 percent of my
taxable income — and that’s actually a lower percentage than
was paid by any of the other 20 people in our office. Their
tax burdens ranged from 33 percent to 41 percent and
averaged 36 percent. - Warren E. Buffett, 8/15/2011

I think a curse should rest on me — because I love this war. I know it's

yet — I can't help it — I enjoy every second of it. - Winston Churchill

On this day in 1969, the grooviest event in music history--the Woodstock Music Festival--draws to a close after three days of peace, love and rock 'n' roll in upstate New York.

Conceived as "Three Days of Peace and Music," Woodstock was a product of a partnership between John Roberts, Joel Rosenman, Artie Kornfield and Michael Lang. Their idea was to make enough money from the event to build a recording studio near the arty New York town of Woodstock. When they couldn't find an appropriate venue in the town itself, the promoters decided to hold the festival on a 600-acre dairy farm in Bethel, New York--some 50 miles from Woodstock--owned by Max Yasgur.

By the time the weekend of the festival arrived, the group had sold a total of 186,000 tickets and expected no more than 200,000 people to show up. By Friday night, however, thousands of eager early arrivals were pushing against the entrance gates. Fearing they could not control the crowds, the promoters made the decision to open the concert to everyone, free of charge. Close to half a million people attended Woodstock, jamming the roads around Bethel with eight miles of traffic.

-Guess we need a Scorched reunion..... Anyone have a dairy farm? Hmmm

Would the roads be large enough tho?
Big Bear and HWB need some very large low loaders and cranes to transport them, plus reinforced ground works to support their immense size and weight respectively.

I also think it's illegal to have willis out in public outside of designated areas.

Nice idea, hard to impliment in practice oh great horny one!

We have repeatedly called for the release of Shane Bauer and Joshua Fattal,
who have now been held in Iran's Evin prison for two years. Shane and Josh
have been imprisoned too long, and it is time to reunite them with their
families - Mark Toner - U.S. State Department

Side Note : They were found guilty on both counts and each sentenced to
eight years. Hopefully, based on the evidence alone and without being
tortured into giving signed confessions. However, if espionage is
considered an act of war, they could have rightly been treated as
non-uniformed combatants, by using the globally accepted U.S.
policy as their legitimate guidelines for administering justice.

My people wanted profits, but they lost their freedom to the machinery
they set up to give them those profits. Your people wanted the security
of a - bare existence and so, too, gave up their rights as men to the
machinery of profit. - Dale Corday - PROFITS UNLIMITED by Arch Oboler

Side Note : PROFITS UNLIMITED was first performed in 1939,
under the title, EFFICIENCY ISLAND. In 1943 it was broadcast by
Lights Out. I could not find it on Youtube. The linked recording,
although a good example of propaganda, is not a good example of
Mr. Oboler's overall body of work.

The significant problems we have cannot be solved at the same
level of thinking with which we created them. - Albert Einstein

Side Note : As you may have expected, I am still keeping
watch on the debt clock. The long term daily average of
our increase, has not only remained higher than what was
reported on August 3, it increased from the 3.96 Billion per
day, reported on August 4, to 3.97 BILLION, when the
clock was calibrated on September 1, 2011.

The jump in debt noted for the month of August, is the
largest jump on record. Yet, I can find no sources of
information that have publicly disclosed this, much less,
anyone willing to explain what caused the rate increase.

    Attachment:
    September 4, 2011 Debt.PNG

Those of you that have read BOY's thread on economic
collapse, should have noted that the increase in debt,
averaged less than $ 500.00 per month, per Citizen,
during the reporting period. The August increase was a
little over $ 1,000.00 per Citizen. Next months numbers
should help show if the predicted spike has started.

Good luck to those seeking answers.
