Today was the first time I've ever voted and I got a sticker for it..

If I had known this sooner, I would have voted earlier!

I voted for a minimum wage increase. And "yes" for something that has to do with worker's comp. The other 2 were smoking issues. Smoking in public places or whatever.

The world should be scared that a person like me votes.

Err, what exactly are you voting for?

I'm just a po Canadian boy.... I only hear snippets of information whenever the dogsled arrives with The Mail. ;)

BTW: When we vote, here in Canada, we get stamps on our hands, our faces painted, or a free beer.

These are the mid-term elections in the States, cbx55of. For some years Republicans have had control of congress. These mid-term elections are a big deal in the states because the Democrats have a good chance of taking control of the Senate, which could mean a change in policies for Iraq, our economy, globalization, immigration, stem-cell research, etc.

Too bad the "free beer" insentive probably wouldn't fly well here. Too many Bible Thumpers and Lawyers around.

I was gonna reply to your comment about my sticker but it disappeared...

They gave those regardless of who you voted for.

If you guys must know, I'm a swing voter and I wanted things to change this time around. That should give a good hint as to who I voted for.

when you see half human/animal children suddenly popping up next to the illegal aliens at the voting booth you can trace them back to the good old idiots at the Show-Me state.

Serves the spineless Republicans right to lose Congress though, but I'm sad that otherwise good Senators like Talent are gone.

Congrats to DS, on your first vote!
