It got up to 99F here in the Chicago area... then a thunderstorm just barely clipped us (about 30 seconds of downpour) and the temperature's "only" 89F now... but there hasn't been any meaningful rain for most of this month.
It is now pitch dark. You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

90's this week, it got up to 109 last week here in the Central Valley in California! it feels like you are being cooked in a microwave oven on some days

It actually hit 100 here in the Chicago area today... meanwhile, outside it sounds like people are playing a LARP version of Scorch. It sounded like someone set off a Fatman a few minutes ago.
In other news, I CBX'ed for the first time in ages today.
