I don't know if this is worth mentioning or not, it's kind of obscure and I'd guess it could be driver related.

I'm getting serious frame rate issues after about 4 rounds of play. It's almost as if the graphics card gets full up. (I'm talking, like suddenly 10fps max, after 40+)

If I start another instance of the game, the first instance is suddenly fixed. And if I exit and come back in it's fixed.

Could this be a bug of some kind?

Sounds like an OS issue.

Use Linux, all will be well!

To be a little more serious, use some monitoring tools to help dignose.

Just taskmanager (performance) for the CPU (keep it open while playing) and rivatuner for your graphics card, it can monitor your gfx cards clock and mem speed and tempurate, its POSS that it's getting warm and throttling itself.

Rivatuner can also show your fps in a tweakable OSD, out of the way of everything, instead of the annoying ingame one!
