    Hmmm . . well from all the discussions plans and fixes intended .. (that I know of at least) . . is drooling allowed?

    Hate to throw a twist in subject (although the topic is n open n shut book) but, any projected date or mandatory time (ie . . “idc whats done at this point.. on this day its released”) for when 38 is expected? (foot starts tapping) 🙄

    agreed, heck you can probably just remove that kibitzing window, no offense but the only thing I’ve ever had with it is explaining to some random person what that even means. Which quite frankly if someone dosnt want others to give them advice.. instead of throwing up a window which gets in THEIR way, that person should just turn around and give the yappers a peice of his/her mind. 😈 If anything at least change the message to say something more understandable.. like “STFU. . . Please.” (humor intended)

    Well for starters I think this these post’s should be merged into the other resign topic, why a alternate topic was created I do not understand, but will not further on that issue.

    For me, I really hate a missed shot, at least those which we most associate with resigners, but what I REALLY hate is the missed kill (if you haven’t caught on to by now). I don’t play for cash, or for big weapons sheilds or whatever. If it was a even playing field gimmi baby missiles any day of the week.

    I like to (trying to) be known as a 3 shot killer, which to my wording is, if I’m shootin at you and ur living past 3rd shot, (without variables like batteries or sheilds) your VERY lucky.

    Anyway, all things set aside thanks for the complement trumboner, I never consider all the non posters who could be watching over my shoulder (intends to crack ya jaw next time ur gonna spy on me 😛 )

    No big deal but, I coulda sworn when I looked over the ToDo list, I did not see that; Oh well so long as its there 😉

    I like the idea of rain, but as a song I know goes… Thunder, Rain, and Lightning! (hint hint). Get some interactive weather where if a lightning bolt flew across the sky way off in the distance, a “accurate” delay time would occure before the thunder is heard. But rain alone would make for lovelier settings.

    Something else crossed my mind, what if you had a sort of “fog of war” ? Say the air was cool, and the humidity was high, it gets very foggy and hard to see. People could still pinpoint a units location with things like the mini-stats window showing name, life, sheild life, etc… but its just more eyecandy.

    I knew someone would bring up those points right away . . and thats also why I was very hesitant about that idea myself.

    I agree I like to sit around and bullshit with people, plus smack you around in the ranks, but I suppose its just my style of thinking that, my posts never get to be the end result, only start the way to get there. 😛

    Well, this brings up something else I kinda dispise, although this idea can be bashed all you want I won’t support it unless others like it:

    **Back Story**

    One thing we all know is games can take FOREVER, which is too the basis of this topic, to speed things up a bit. Consider if you may our current status of 10 rounds, 15 moves per round, 45 seconds move 45 seconds buy…

    10 rounds * 45sec buy = 450 seconds;
    10 rounds * 15 moves * 45sec move = 6750 seconds;

    Total: 7200seconds / 60 = 120minutes / 60 = 2hours. (note non of these factor graphic animation time)

    One thing I dislike are those who wait (ok I do it too sometimes) to the LAST second to place their shot. Now ok before we all get into debate I know that sometimes people don’t realize it’s time to shoot, or thier taking so long to calculate the variables, or whatever… but what if there was a global game limit to . . 1 Hour.

    Now before everyone shoots me, just think about it. . on average a round lasts only 5-10 shots, so quick math lets say 8, that boils down to 1hr 8min (counting buytime).

    Or we can look at it another rout, taking Ebonite’s post: (say it took full time) 12*10*35 = 1hr 17.5 min.

    All in all 1hour should be enough for your standard game. Again this idea even I can see being a problem but, I’m throwin it into the ring anyway. Heck maybe when you consider the time for graphic playback and loading times… 1hour 30min, *shrugs* … Feedback?

    (no idea how to determain this) “Die Hard’s!”… ya know how there are some people that are impossible to kill, the people that u swear u put down to die, but nope, his person could survive the apocalypse. Maybe lady luck keeps shinning to them, or it feels like weapons bend to their will..

    Yeh those people get a table for them 😉

    Although I do not agree with the whole “its a strategy” belief, thats not where my concerns lye.

    *working in order of posts*

    Bobirov I like that idea, like it enough to forget my own idea. Typicly that single shot is what makes the difference. Plus automatic notification is a must, as already been described.

    *skips 99.99% of ebons post* . . ok I respect ur opinion but ur point simply said is resigning is good thing. Neither will be able to convince the other to chance opinions so, moving onward…

    camp ur post was just opinion about the input so, not much to comment about that..

    And Steven. . *too late, hat is hit by 2 dh’s* Your point about people KNOWING their gonna resign is very true, so the idea of locking them out at the final 10 (well personally id go higher but 10 is ok) seconds sounds fair.

    You could have a table for “those without lives” . . have the measure the hours/minutes a person is connected, then give an hours/day ratio. (or days-hours/week if that sounds better).

    Agree or not I really hate them people, mostly becuase no its not strategy its them sitting on their high horse thinking their all cool beacuse they can deny someone whos worked for it. They do it “just becasuse they can”.

    Heck have it be one turn far delay as far as I could care, I just dont find it right that only becuase “the next turn their gonna die” they should be allowed to resign. Its just as newbish as those who join, buy dh, launch, leave, *rince n repeat*… if not worse.

    Sorry if I’m sounding like a real up tight jerk, but I’m already this sick of it.

    As far as friendlier chat aproaches, maybe have a form of, wordwrap or something? Considering how window sizes are pre-defined have the text length be determained and if it would stretch then shift it into multiple lines;

    Thanks for the replies, and after reading it over yes the cash / weapon management ideas are more effecient and friendly.

    Cbx, I could only see a voting system work if it took say 2/3-3/4 (noticeablly over half) of the people IN THE GAME (aka not of those who vote). Simple example, say there was 7 people in the game, it would take idunno 5 to say the person should be gone. But if 4 vote yes, 2 vote no, and 1 simply decline to vote . . its still a no.

    But still im with you on the not have one at all thought.
