    Thank you Gavin. Water looks much better now with shaders off and game seems to run fine. Just turned the shaders off and all looks good. Try it DS.

    Yes im talking about the tiling. Everything else is turned off and maxxed out and its fine its just that little thing. Looks brill without gl extensions on yes but like Thrax said like an ugly quilt with it on.

    So if its not the graphics card then i guess im left in gloom. 🙂 Oh well, as far as the new version goes, it runs sweet, just i think this is the only minor issue left. [/quote]

    Ok, now this discussion has been going on for a year.. I only read the first page so if i repeat something then slap my face with a piece of wet trout.

    This game, as we all know has generated a rather large response in terms of downloads. We all know of worms and worms3d and so on. Now this game doesnt hold the features in comparison to Scorched. Worms was on sale mainly in the 90s, avaialble on most platforms and the legend continues…

    Okay its not need for speed or Halo 3 or whatever but at the end of the day that game created popularity, it was fun and addictive. Surely if Scorched gained more popularity through merchandise and advertisement campaigns, i believe it could take off the same. Like i said, no its not like your big titles but believe you and me, i spend a hell of a lot more time on here than i do on my Xbox360 since i had it.

    Every mod on scorched has been played by me even to the extent i am ranked 1 and 2 on every one and now i do enjoy mains due to the socialisation on it “if thats a real word”.

    So in response to the original post by Indy, has anyone come up with the ideas of how to pull this off… Merchandise sounds like a good start… I do believe also that Gavin could benefit a hell of a lot and then all Admin, moderators & developers and of course the players who all make what scorched is today can feel good with what they have done with it.

    Also, i did say i havent read every reply ont his topic so apologies if i’ve repeated anyone, but realistically, have any decent proposals been implented and can it happen most importantly because i believe it should too. 😛

    it is fully possible, once you get the correct model, then it is pretty easy, depending on whether or not you want it animated. or it could be a simple destroy, with zombies leaping out raptor style.
    Give me a jab, and we can figure it out.

    Well, after 2days of playing on milkshape, i’ve come to the conclusion im poo at modelling. So, ideas so far that have come into place that will need modelling: “so far”

    Tombstones
    Zombie hand (for the collision action on tombstones/graves)
    Weapon projectiles (knives, Skulls, Skull rollers)
    Boids (ghouls, ghosts)

    As far as mapping goes, im eventually getting the general logic of it. AI if you can come up with some designs buddy, that’d be awesome. Ideas so far that have been requested:

    Scream Mask
    Sword
    Cross

    Theres a map i believe on Best of S3d i think, or Jdog and it is literally just black. The only thing you can se is the tanks which is an interesting idea but the one i am making at the moment is similar to that only you can see a tiny tuny bit with a moving mist addition which someone is working on but if it cannot be done then stationary mist will have to do.

    AI, when you next on buddy. I dont know wether Thrax has told you but you have a chat app that i dont so if you could let me knw what it is, ill try and get it because i hear you dont use MSN or Yahoo..

    KTM: Yeah, a graveyard map would be a must….. Any way to do fog? And trees….. Dead trees. Maybe owl sounds….. Yep, a creepy graveyard would make a superb map, or so I’ve convinced myself.

    Maybe if you shoot a tombstone, a zombie (hand?) pops out.

    Well, spooky maps are a must really. All maps are played at night at the moment and sounds include an owl, ghosts, screams, Just need the themed maps i.e Graveyard to go with it.

    Regarding the Zombie hands popping out of the tombstones… A fabulous idea in theory but wether its possible is beyond me. Im sure it can be modelled by someone but im not to sure as to wether solid objects can be rendered… Hmmm… Someoen with a little more experience, feel free to answer :p

    I’ve an interesting cross-type tombstone that I’m just finishing modeling. I don’t know if it would work for a weapon or just a funny grave-marker, but when I’m done with it I can upload a render if you’re interested….

    Sounds good to me… like something to work upon. Sure i could pull something together :p…

    Yeah i was a little premature with that first comment.. It turns out that as i was testing the new version today, a slight annoying problem has occured.. When you Enter a game seems fine but does conflict a lot if previous version is still installed on your system. Mainly because i think when you download the files into the beta release, it overwrites to the same folders as previous version which is annoying as you have to delete old one to avoid conflicts..

    Secondly, When you exit a game, Your Name will still be on the server list and it will still have you down as still playing even though you’ve left and it does not recognise your off until previous game is timed out.

    Anyone else noticed these or is it just me..> 😆

    Thanks Cbx. Decided to leave roofmod well alone. After all, who likes a copy-cat. heh. Would like to thank thrax for his help last night with coding and familiarising it with me. We created the first weapon “Chainsaw”, with Chainsaw massacre coming next! Many of my weapon ideas are coming from horror films inc. ‘The Ring’. I like the ideas especially the fully transparent projectiles and the pac-ghost. Keep em all coming and i’ll keep you guys informed.
