    No no. It was just set to 16 bit without my knowing. Don’t ask me why.

    But now there is another problem: The “status” boxes in the screens cornes flickers a whole lot! And iv’e been playing like hell with the gfx-settings…

    That was it. Adjusted the number of colours to “millions”, and pow! It worked. Maybe the RPM was just fine, but now i the source worked fine anyway, so…

    just tested. sideways and up+down works great, but if i press shift while using page up or page down, the movement stopps. applies whether i first push shift and then pagex or first pagex and then shift…

    well, if an executable or lib is left world-writable, THAT IS A HUGE SECURITY RISC. then anyone could write some shit to it, and it would then be run the next time of execution in place of the real code…

    And if you would try to put it in the PATH, it would be a pain without altering the path… You would have to use /bin/scorched3d and /bin/scorched3d/blahblah as install dir…

    Personaly i install all GUI progs. in /usr/local/(game)/progname when i use the source, but else I always use /usr for RPMS (as they an be easyly uninstalled, even if spread throughout the whole directory structure…)

    you should really try a source install. the rpm just fucked up for me, but the source worked great and was really easy and no-hassle to compile 😀

    Hmm… Maybe you should post a screenshot showing us what you mean, because i do not think the terrain is wery spiky…

    And it would be nice if input is submited even if the time rns out, so that you wouldn’t have to submit everything again. Great for noob and for those little oopses. And it would also work as a check to verify that a client is acctually online.
