as an added note i think that i was successful in altering the shot per round limit by editing some of the .xml files in microsoft word. there are different files for the different modes of play so you’ll have to figure it out.
oh and don’t forget to backup any originals so if you screw up 👿 you can restore the original.
(and don’t even think about venting frustration on any one else if you do mess it.)
I decided to add this post just for kicks. the game runs kinda slow but stil rocks and is very playable.
here is my specs (I mostly use this for college work)

I run the game with all options and ful screen now except for “tank skins” as it causes the game to crash. generaly about 15fps doing nothing 12 fps for all “normal” weapons 7fps for “large” weapons and 4 fps for deaths head. I considder myself lucky to have this kind of playability considdering my system. As an added note zoming in on areas that are blowing up some times cause the message “player ‘X’ kicked form server… Spectator kicked from server…” repeted in that order about 3 times then the game will go on as usual.

Ps. In the To Do/ Completed forum it says “Fixed: Graphics for explosions do not cross into next round” but it does that in my games when the last killing shot was a deaths head.
you are correct about the fragmentation scattered nature of the world. For me i don’t have such a nice accelerator but i disabled tank skins in options and it is less of a problem now. but the terrain is always very dark and difficult to see.
