Please re-download the CVS source – my patches, which have already been applied to CVS, fix all of the errors you’re referring to, and many more.

    Gooch,

My OSX patches are merged in CVS now – please compile yourself and see if your problems dissappear.

    Best of luck,

I screwed up again. That LDFLAGS line should read:
    LDFLAGS=-L/usr/X11R6/lib

I fixed the patch, same URL…

sorry bout that, I should have recompiled to test it before posting.

Eh.. sorry about that, just couldn’t help myself….:

    checking for sdl-config… /sw/bin/sdl-config
checking for SDL – version >= 1.2.5… yes
checking for beer in -lfridge… no
Warning: No beer found in fridge!
We highly suggest that you rectify this situation immediately.
    checking for OpenGL support… yes

I understand if you don’t feel like putting it in there.

    best regards,

    Wow that was quick…

Yeah I am trying although I am not doing much work on the game at the moment as I am trying to be on holliday.

I’m afraid I left something out – my instructions forget to tell the user to run aclocal and autoconf.

No worries, Ill put it in soon.
Err. What does the beer fridge stuff do by the way 😀
I may want to remove that line 😉

My next target is to fix the problem with the upside-down vertical mouse axis when running in a window. Any quick ideas of where to start my search?

GLW/GLWWindow swaps the y axis for the mouse as the window and GL coordinates are reversed. Is this what you mean?

By the way, I’m in correspondence with the wxgtk maintainer for the fink project. I’ve asked him to include my patch in the distribution. If he does, it will greatly increase the ease with which OSX people can run scorched. Maybe I can get scorched in fink too – that seems ideal!

Yeah both of those things would be nice.

Nice working with you! Very Happy

Likewise, I always like giving time to people that actively support the game.

    Gavin.

    Gavin,

    Wow that was quick…

I’m afraid I left something out – my instructions forget to tell the user to run aclocal and autoconf.

Here is another patch – this one to configure.ac – which simplifies the process so that the user can just run autogen.sh like in linux. It also updates COMPILING with the better, simpler instructions.

Thanks again for all the time.

    Gavin,

Sorry about getting your name wrong.

I’ve made a patch for the first 5 issues, plus a new section in COMPILING for MacOSX. You can dnload it at:

I think it would be better if you were the one to make the change of Timer.cpp -> Clock.cpp, since you know the code the best.

If you just don’t have the time to do it though, my sourceforge ID is redbier. I’d be able to do the update this week sometime.

    best regards,

    C. Thomas
