    Voted ‘NO’ – i just don’t see need of it.

    I know i don’t play too much recently, but didn’t seen long time situation where admin intervention would be neccesary.

    For now, you can just get the source at http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/scorched3d/Scorched3D-39.1-src.tar.gz?download, and then do a:

    tar zxf Scorched3D-39.1-src.tar.gz
    cd scorched/scripts
    perl ./createAMMakefile.pl
    cd ..
    ./configure
    make
    make install

    (Note you will have to be root to do the “make install”)

    Looks like openAL dosn’t supports alsa very well… but does it with sdl ๐Ÿ™‚

    ..so (define devices ‘(alsa sdl)) in ~/.openalrc did the trick ๐Ÿ˜€

    P.S. Sorched with Danzig in background will be even better ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

    I’ve got an impression that you should play more with custom game options. Most of what you want is doable already.

    Just remember, “player” types:
    Player – your control
    Target – will not shot
    AnyOther – will shot back, with different kill ratio

    To activate your shields before any shots in round buy & use Auto Defense

    I hope i’ll see you on-line soon anyway ๐Ÿ™‚

    One little idea…

    Maybe we should make beginners server ONLY for beginners – f.e. max 100 kills limit on beginners and NO entry limit on main…

    This way new people can learn some basic rules on beginners and true life learning is done on main, with pros. Moreover we don’t push noobs on beginners – if they want, they can take fast and probably hard route strainght to main.

    P.S. It wasn’t problem for me to play with pros when i joined scorched world – actually it was very didactic to observe their tactics, and… being killed often (oh.. i’m still being killed all the time, any difference is that now i can take few more tanks with me ๐Ÿ˜‰ )

    A little missanderstood here, i think… if your rank, Cinnibar, is about 300 you can make 300 kills per game… isn’t it enough for you ? ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Or maybe max 10 kills for players under 200 pos in stats… ?

    We could still play while no game on main… just be carefull not to kill too much ๐Ÿ˜‰
