    i put it back, i didn’t save settings tho, so every time gavin restarts the server i have to revert them back

    delete your keys.xml file in c:/docs & settins/username/.scorched3d

    please, for problems with the new versions, report them in the feature requests & bugs or help section, and make sure to add the version tag to distinguish from the actual version

    no, it’s not, it’s not the in-game chat, as the title says, it’s the menagement port chat tab, wich has the ability to select a channel to talk with; the default channel is the Announcements channel, it should be the General channel instead

    again in the menagment port, chat tab.
    the text field wich displays the players chat has auto-scrolling, wich is good; but this ability get lost when the field loses focus.
    it’s ok for it to lose focus when i switch to another program or browser tab; but it shouldn’t lose auto-scroll when i do switch to the text input box to talk to the players, it would make me miss theyr sentences until i’ve completed mine & dragged again the scrollbar all the way to the bottom

    sorry, i rushed posting those & i replaced clearence with speed



    i do have draw water off, but in the passages to load a round (those displayed in the progress bar, yes) i still do get the “clearing water waves” passage, the wird thing is that this passage is still processed in the loading of rounds wich is not the first (map was different), but the loading bar starts full (and i’ve disabled all the water options that are available) and the loading time is shortened a lot, either this passage is cached, or either is skipped; if it’s casched, then it could be possibly done before even connecting to the server (to prevent any lag), if it’s not, i’d say it could be interesting to investigate further the reasons of the speedup

    the new version runes slower because the new water options are default on, turn off water movement, ecc & you’ll see a performance boost compared to having them on

    oh, and my pc is much worse than yours(P4 1.8 GHz, 256 MB ram & Geforce 2) 😛



    it would be nice to have a private MYSQL database on the tournament server to test the logging & admin functions

    oh, and please, during the test, remove the link to the main’s ban list, i think it’s best to keep everything in a “secure box” until the test has run over

    you migh thave some problems with the controls; the limited amount of keys and the lack of a right mouse button will make the controls very painful (if you assing a button as mutator, only 3 will be left)

    and i think that 250 MHz clock is too low, expecially considering the second core is a DSP wich is more suitable for bulk processing of IO streams than running a game with very long (compared to the average dsp algorythm) code

    alsi, i think it needs mention that that article doesn’t informs about the GPU, wich is probably very low-end and i’m wondering about how much opengl support would have

    try this mod:

    i’ll set up a test server soon

    it’s basically main but have lots of tweaks: riots who can counter self-dirting, funkys less overpowered, heavy shields more useful, ecc..

    edit: the server is up, don’t whine because some prices looks low, keep buying & the price will change radically

    no binary is published, only sources, you’ll have to compile yourself the exe, it’s not an easy task and requies some basic programming knowledge

    if you feel brave you can check the wiki instructions, but if you got no clue what to do, i wouldn’t suggest you to try, but instead just wait like all other people for the new version
