I ran a tournament server this past weekend, and I noticed that when a player joined the game as a spectator, they did not appear under their name, but rather as a numbered “leech”. ie leech1, leech2.

I would like to get their names to appear while they are spectating. Do I need to use stats logging to do this, or is there some other tip?

Players generally have to play in the actual game to keep their names when spectating. Im not sure why this is though? Perhaps have everyone play round one in the tournament as sort of an opening ceremony/warmup? Have them recconect and keep their names?

    Good Luck 😀

I shall have to test that.

    Stats..

On the first time a player joins a perticular hosted server set, they are given
a unique id key and a stats record. Thier name is logged to the stats and
kept for future login’s. If you plan to initialize Stats on your system, then
over time, the list of players will grow and many will keep thier last used
name on the next login, even in specvtator mode.
