What were the dark ages? A time where little is known or written. Now there may be a reason for that. There is reason to believe from the year 614 AD to 911 AD may never have happened. Who was keeping track of the time? Surely no one messed up, right? With the changing of calendars and the wars could these years have been skipped? Below is a link supporting that. If this is true, we are now in year 1710, not 2007.

Supposedly no one has any real evidence of anything happening between 614 and 911. Only speculation. A Lot of those things have been proven to occur either before or after those times.

The tone of the article is extremely childish. Ever had a look at Dr. Hans-Ulrich Niemitz ‘s credentials?

Where nothing happened. In Europe(at least into the east) many many thinks happened.

This period was very well documented by Byzantine chroniclers, and the Byzantine empire was in its golden ages.

So… Charlemagne did not exist, Tang dinasty didn’t too, and most of all Muslims?

I found the theories as to why this “phantom time” would had been introduced to be highly entertaining. Especially the following:

“It is not important to explain the motivation of the emperor Constantine VII. I only want to demonstrate, that an action of rewriting and faking like this has happened.”

Great work d00de! You just came up with an elaborate scheme supposedly concieved by the Byzantine empire to re-write history and then all of a sudden the motives for undertaking on such a enormous task are irrelevant to back up your theory? Completely bogus, however rather entertaining I’d have to say.
