What os are you using ?

For me looks like your graphic display is not set to use hardware acceleration. Cannot imagine any other reason for such a low FPS on your hardware.

Only thing i can tell is to try to reinstall last video card drivers, openGL and directX. Do you run other OpenGL games fine ?

I have the same problem with my Athlon 1800+ with NVIDIA Geforce II Ultra

When i zoom in as far as i can, i make it to 5 fps 🙁

weird. i got XP with a 900mhz Athlon, GeForce2 MX, 384 MB ram, SBLive. The game only slows up when lots of smoke and explosions show up and i run the game at maximum settings (1024×768)

Got a bit weaker macine than the previous person. Not using GL (somhow this game dosn’t like my HW?), running Fedora Core 1.

Game runs fine exept when zoomed in on large blast. Then I get 0,1 or so FPS…

Not using GL extensions, does that mean no GL harware in use?

No GL extensions means dont use extra available card extensions to do some “cool” stuff. Like double texturing, cube mapping, shadows etc…

It still uses the cards gl acceleration for the other “normal” gl features.

OK. No slugish software rendering then. Maybe the card just dosn’t support it?

I can give it a try under windows. IF it has enough diskspace aviable to install it (only uses windows to play CS at LAN-parties. Haven’t booted it since a couple of months ago I guess.)

Yeah, that would be a useful test. It would let me know if it is the card or the drivers.

Will do as soon as I get access to a more hevy-duty line (the line at school), takes a “while” to download it over my ultra-slugish ISDN line 👿

I also get terrible performance. It’s so bad – It actualy makes the game unplayable.

Version 35 worked just fine previously.

Im running Win XP with all the latest updates.
    Latest NVidia drivers (53.03)
    Latest ViaHyperion Drivers (4.51)
    Latest Direct X9b Drivers

    My relevant system specs are:
    AMD Duron 850mhz
    Geforce 4 TI (4400) 128mb
    512 MB Ram

The only way I can make it load/run at a resonable speed is when I have the resolution set to something like 300×240. But then the Dialog Boxes are so BIG you can’t realy use them!!!

Averages about 10 FPS, And when you rotate your turret, It moves about 15′

Resolutions of 640×480 induce load times of about 15-20 min. 😕

wow mine loads very quickly less than 10 seconds 600×800 res and medium graphics and textures but it has other issues….. don’t know why yours is so long to load

    Just to clarify:

    V35 Runs well

    and

    V36.1 Runs BAD

It’s like it’s running in software mode rather than HW accelerated. 😥
