Is it possible to have skybox background (aka background panoramas) in scorched3d?
Would be good thing to have…

If your talking about stars and such then yes, its possible. However, I don’t think it wraps all the way around like a sphere around the playing field, rather it is more of a plain in the sky.

That’s actually something I thought of a long time ago – having a “spheremap” that surrounds.

Not really too much different than the present “roof” sky model, so I’m not worried about it. 😉

Thanks. I’ll take a look at how roof is textured, maybe i can convert cubic panoramas to roof texture…

There is no cube map as such as the sky is mapped onto a half shpere. You may be able to replace the star map to do this. The cloud map obviously moves.
