Shotzo I think ur missing the point that been said. It like u continue with your stuff like a blowing wind. U never thought that adding “official” to “your” servers could mislead lots of players in this community and piss off the ORIGIAL modertors of the ORIGINAL mods. U even could get Shockwave pissed off which is a quite achivment cause it never happened before Now have manged to piss of also nice number of a vertens and respected ppl in here..and u were succsessed to even piss some of the admins (im in it and I said my personal opinion to the admins crew).
Your hyper active behavior has become disrecpectfull and none-tollerate behavior. U keep reply to the posts in here to the programic stuff in them but u ignore the real important issues>>respecting the community and respect the game and behave.

These comments struck me as absurdly funny. 😀
A bit of humour goes a long way, at least for me, to keep a topic like this tolerable. Thanks. 🙂

Yes, that is possible. And would work for the web page but would require a new version of the client.

Couldn’t the source code be changed to make it send false information?

Not, if the registration of what was official was made via this website and not given by the server’s themselves.

I believe it is an oblique reference to the observed behavior of the current AI not being able to hit a barn if inside of one.

It would be quite easy to make the AI hit you 100% all the time. The problem is trying to make them play in a human type way. i.e. by refining their shots.

Just look for the quality assurance seal!

Don’t be fooled by imitators anymore!…

That’s actually a GREAT idea. It’ll help noobs find “stable” servers much more easily (And keep them off of crap like servers that I start up just fooling around etc) 😉

Slick idea, guys. I can see a revised MOTD phrase, now…

Yea. Just let them have infinite money and infinite death’s heads.

Could you explain the use of the dot product in calculating wind offset..
And the use of a select case statement (Err.. switch.) to determine appropriate power.. without regard to the bot’s current MAX power..
Or even the apparent lack of using gravity in their playing..

If it’s simple to make them hit you 100% of the time, make it so they do, add a random component to it so they dont, and do some magically random interpolation from where the shot landed towards the target.
Right now it just.. guesses.. and.. refines.

Your code does not have to act as a human; merely present the output OF one…

And as for the new icons…
As long as they don’t go on all servers which are stable, merely ones that their stats can be accessed from the forums.. I don’t think it’d be too much of an issue.

uuugh.. no not quite yet, niCe try though..

glad to see steps are heading in the right direction
and wash my hands of it now that the ball is roling.

    thanks guys!

@ shotzo you see, we think 2 steps ahead of certain types of people..
if we can’t identify wich server injected *somethingbad*
then we have no finger to point @ it’s true orrigin.

that & having multiple copys of the same mod could lead to some
very bad things & confuse players where they *received*
    those bad things from.

we also need a better way to gather proof 🙂
so when we contact isp’s & *such*.. we have something to go on 😀

Using Scorched3D as a Tool to do bad things with wasn’t in the
Developers mindframe when it was created.

It just takes time to see that there >are< *types* of people out
there who like to probe for weaknesses (or) use their own twisted
personalitys/ideas to take something like a great free open source
game & *try* to use it for other vendictive purposes.

the scorched community doesn’t put UP with those kinds here..
    move along… & don’t forget your customary door prize…

a tissue &, a cowbell to let other people know you are coming.
