Hey whats wrong with the waves?
    I downloaded the newest x32
    scorched3d version. The waves
look overall better but now missiles
or explosions near water don’t make
water waves! Whats the matter? Or
    is the waterwavesystem just removed?
Why the hell they would do that??

I don’t know any-thing about that I have to turn the water movement off. 😥 😥

Question when you start your game do you run scorched3d or scorched3dc ?

Yes, there are no waves generated by explosions now. The waves are more realistic and there didn’t seem a way to combine the two wave/water movement models.

Will there ever be realistic waves + water movement?

Never say never, but it’s not currently on my list. If anyone else fancies the task…

The water is currently pre-calculated and then kind of compiled into OpenGL to make it faster. This change meant the water couldn’t change mid game and react to the explosions any more.

I guess by using vertex shaders (for people that have capable graphics cards) you could achieve a similar effect by altering the static meshes real-time.

What about if you’d get the old realistic
water waves back but just raise the number of waves?

Or what if you’d make it to be an option in the menu,
that you could cycle between new and old waves?
And probably define the amount of water waves/particles/parts.
