how about to separate maximum players able to connect to a server & spectators? so someone can wait to joining game on a full server while he is connectied to it

Gavin has already said that he didn’t want to do this because it would increase the data sent to each player and possible cause lag for players with slower connection.
The shot data and landscape data would have to not only be sent to the players playing the game but also the the spectators and each one would have to send back the info saying the data was recieved.
