    I have been debating if I want to start developing a new mini sandbox mod
    just for the sake of playing around & testing new toys.

    So far the idea is to make a few sandy clay walled afgan village maps and
    place teams on either side

    The mod would be entirely team oriented and there would be no mass destructive
    nukes, funkys ..etc only small arms such as semi auto rifles, grenade launchers,
    RPG’s, IED’s and in rare (round 10 cases) artillery strikes you could call in.

    Being that the game is turn based you would slowly have to walk & wind
    your way threw the alleys & roadways along side other teammates
    before you are able to attack targets. -if I can manage that somehow.

    forcing you to use teamwork to survive & accomplish goals like capture a flag
    look for ammo cashes or something -if I can manage that somehow.

    Insurgent Taji AI would be placed scattered threw out the village that take
    AK pot shots at both Allied-vs-PLA player teams.

    you may want to get used to the idea & brush up on that laser aim style
    *rifle weapons* because body armor will be expensive and there will be no
    bubbles here -if I can manage that somehow.

    the mod at it’s current state is not much if that and so would take
    some time planning out & working on..

    that and re learning all the new syntax tag changes etc may or may not be
    possible to achieve what I am after.

    so for now it’s simply an idea that may or may not turn into a hobby project
    when I have time I will try some things & see what happens =)

    I imagine when visioning the idea:
    -dark night maps that light up green with night vision.
    -laser designators which have laser beams shooting out of them.
    -tracer firefights + explosions that light up the night sky.
    -well made real time animated troops that run around raising hell wherever
    they find it.

    I will not be releasing any betas only a finished product this time around
    and I may consider waiting for a new engine if that happens so I can fully
    achieve what I am after, so in other words.. *It gets done when it’s done.*

    next: the ability to change the game into something entirely different

    If I was capable of turning scorched into an artillery/fps style mod I would!

    I disagree, the opposite in fact -encouraging life towards a new direction,
    like most things evolve or die in time.

    CVS gives you the option to roll back to an earlier version if you fear change..
    If we all feared change then we would all still be playing pong on an Atari.

    I love new features that enable more function & possibility’s
    It’s like painting a new picture on a new canvas verses painting over an old one.

    yes! there is almost limitless possibility, one just needs to mod things into new direction than whats been already done. i had a texture looked like floor tile, and when i played with the landscape xmls/display, it looked like tiny tanks on a table top. interesting,, yep sky shows, new actions, all possible if someone has time to mod it out!
    tank or vehicle racing with drive over targets, laser/tracer light shows, night vision appearance, free turns instead of turn based looks cool too.

    i am more conservative tho and have to finish a normal mod before starting anything new,, we’ll see tho
