This list of suggestions is a work in progress which I hope to never see completed. To reduce the reading time required, the merits if there are any should, along with the draw backs, be discussed and developed by others elsewhere and preferablly where I can’t read them. In other words, this is not a discussion thread. It’s just a place where I want to leave an idea or few for future features when I think of them.

Thank you for being considerate of my time as I stuggle to be considerate of yours. 😛

    I. Admin Call – This would allow an online player to send a private request for real-time administrative attention while allowing administrators to perfom other tasks while monitoring discreetly.

      A. A special notation in the logs would indicate the occurance of an administrative alert along with the name of the player making the request.

      B. If an admin is online and accepting calls, a special signal will summon them to the game.

      C. The player making the request (if possibe) along with the entire admistrative team, will receive a notice by PM of the administrative alert.

II. Player Status Indicator – To display for all, not just the admins, the offical status of all players. This would include flagged, muted, or any other mark of distinction that a player has been deemed to have earned.

III. Progressive Maps – The ability to continue a map for more than one round without rebuilding the landscape or any of the objects previously destroyed while conducting player replacement and shopping as normally accomplished.

IV. Progressive Rounds – An option utilized with progressive maps to maintain any player(s) remaining alive at the end of the round, in the same location and in the same state of repair. Shopping and dead player replacement would remain unchanged.

    V. Spoils of War – The option to allow the players to reap the spoils of war by awarding items and/or cash from the inventory of the vanquished to the victorius. This could be kept reasonable by setting a percentage that would be transferred and by setting a min. inventory level that would not be violated. This would increase the pressure on the the most fortunate players while making the less fortunate much less attractive targets.

    more to come ………………………………………………………….

    Dear Thrax:

Although you obviously understood very little of what I wrote, I declare you the winner of the debate you appear to be demanding.

    Congratulations

While interesting, Contacting the server host is not always possible. most
of us load them as silent-mods.. hidden services. There is no
admin-panel gui to contact, or reply from directly. Only if the host is
watching logs, or is actively logged in via web-console, will they see
    or respond.
Sending a PM to the host would require it to be linked to a
forum/database. Also possible, but not all hosts also run a forum.

II. Player Status Indicator – To display for all, not just the admins, the
offical status of all players. This would include flagged, muted, or any

Also possible, it’s only a matter of personally adding more lines to the php
of the stats pages. Although, some player flags are only for the admins
attention. A flagged player may have done nothing at all, and only there
to let others know to observe; but if everyone saw it, that player may be
    treated badly.

This is of course in game-stats that you are meaning, since there’s no
sence adding a lable for banned players in-game.. 😛

III. Progressive Maps – The ability to continue a map for more than one
round without rebuilding the landscape or any of the objects previously
destroyed while conducting player replacement and shopping as normally
    accomplished.

Curious. Would also rely on the map still existing after the battle… 😀
Other games have Votes for a ton of features. Retaining the map for
another round might be worth a look.

IV. Progressive Rounds – An option utilized with progressive maps to
maintain any player(s) remaining alive at the end of the round, in the
same location and in the same state of repair. Shopping and dead player
    replacement would remain unchanged.

Not so sure about this one.. the living player would be not happy to watch
his opponents reload and respawn, while he’s stuck hurt and out of ammo.

With the addition of money-gift, I suppose it’s only a minor step further
to add item-gift. Team-mates sharing supplies, or bribes. May or may
not appear during the fight, but definately possible during buy-cycle.
