Well done, nice convert. Diddn’t know if it was even feasable.
Only down-side is that since the dragon’s tail sticks out so far, the entire
model is scaled smaller to fit the propper “Tank” size. But.. looks worth it
    anyway.

Maybe i’ll play with the client setting of TankModelSize = 300 .. 😀

Did note tho, whatever convert system or program you are using is setting
one minor tag in the ascii txt files incorrectly. None of the models will
function in the game as they are. But.. it’s a very minor fix.

Right in the top few lines of each of the 4 models, it’s got a listing of
    Frame: 50
    Frame: 3

And needs to be adjusted to
    Frame: 30
    Frame: 1

in order for the game to accept them.

Curiously enough, even Leatherwolf’s animated Tanks only have Frame: 1, and
still move, so i’m going to assume it really doesn’t mean there’s more than one
    frame needed anywhere.

The 4 new models will be applied to Merge the next time i restart it, altho
sadly it does add nearly 3mb to the total size with only 4 new tanks. 😀

Seems thats an error i was unaware of, none of the tanks have animations so milkshape must set that as a default. They work on my client??

also the dragon is larger than a normal tank, it was rendered wierd too, they had some goofy backface culling on. I believe most of the file size is in the textures, if you can weed em down abit, try reducing them to 256X256 if its too large for your taste. 🙂

    Thanks and have fun! 😀

Ya, i really don’t expect it to be a perfect fit. The source model was designed
for a larger scale usage. Altering the size of the texture files will throw off all
the color mapping, so they’ll be ok as is. The Semi will have the same problem.
It’s a lot longer than many models too, so it’ll be shrunk to fit the tandard
‘Tank’ shape. On the up-side; your placement of the elevation axis looks
perfect, even if the actual shot doesn’t come from anywhere near the
    mouth 😀

Yes, i wish we could make a vertex where the shot emits from. Like place a box named “shotpoint”. that would make the dragon pretty sweet firing the flamethrower or icemachine. 😀

I believe thats referencing the number of frames the model asks the client to read, in this case 3, and the toal number of frames 50. So it will display 3 frames of animation per frame change. This does indeed need changed now, i think scorch has a max frame limit of 30 read at one frame like you mentioned above.

wonder why it worked before? hmmm..

Seems milkshapes defalt is a bit wonky.

Thanks Thrax, have a good day! 🙂

Was talking about the SR-71 Blackbird with my dad on the way to and from church, decided it was a good addition to the things I already made!

    GO MACH 5! woot!

was playing around with a sphere and accidentally made another one lol!

Slightly smaller files size, but smoother and simpler modeling.

New texture for it too! 😉

heh another sr 71… i really like the way this plane looks, the turbines are sphere mapped and will glisten!

Watched transformers lastnight to get a good view of the SR-71 and ended up looking at the B1 Lancer lol!

    so here it is!

the textures in no particular order are:
    stealth
    original
    chrome matte
    desert
    urban
    jungle

    enjoy! 😉

made a new revised a-10, its almost done, just need to decal it. will update piccy when done.

They arent the best models, but i am very proud of them, i believe most modeling is textures, i make my own so they are abit sub par. Wil have to work on this.

    Hi Again :

What you have requested seems to be
multiple weapons that are model specific :

    Weapon_1 = Dragon_Fire (mouth opening),
    Weapon_2 = Dragon_Dung (rectal orifice),
    Weapon_3 = Dragon_Bomb (rear claws)

This might be too complicated to implement on a model
specific basis but if not, could make some cool models.

However, using redirection you can accomplish much the same thing
if you keep the head in line with the direction of flight during firing.

Review my back fire bomber and helivacopter boid photos in the screen
shot section. The helivacopter fired two 50 caliber mini guns from the
nose and napalm (hell fire) missiles from the wing mounted rocket pods.

Same with the F-15 (F-16) boid models.

The placements, are tricky but with a little experimentation,
you can place weapon activations where ever you desire them.

    Have fun,

    Rommel
