Hey Thrax, how can I make islands outside the walls?

Also I noted last year when I updated d day mod there was a cool mountain sourrounding, I will be testing this, any mods use that extensively other than d-day?

    2 ways. Modeling, and Landform

D-Day and Swars create the illusion of mountains or hills outside the map by
surrounting it with a collosal mountain/crater-wall model. This blocks the
further distance and gives it a feel of completion.

Instead, the landform image itself can be shaded with hills and stretched
beyond the battle-square enough to populate the surround with something
    other than water.
If you’ve examined the landscape Defn xml’s, you’ve seen 2 size variables
    to set.

    x
    y
    and
    x
    y

If you set the landscape variables to a larger size, like 1024×1024, and the
arena to only 256×256, the landform image you use will be stretched and
only the center square is where players appear. Anything outside that arena
border is then considered the surround, and will let you decorate as you wish.

Can you explain this to me again? I have trouble with this stuff:

1, converting hexadecimal to A,b,C format for the below, and projectiles
    and
    2,

    0.01.01.0
    0.01.01.0
    0.00.01.0
    0.00.01.0
    0.00.00.0

    What are theese layers for?

Color codes in S3d are defined in much the same manor as standard windows
coloring. 1-2-3 is r-g-b, and the 255 color code is a fraction of 1.
    0.0 Red
    1.0 Green
    1.0 Blue
would be the same as 0,255,255 or, bright Aqua Blue.
Take whatever color in Ms-paint you define, and Divide by 255.

    Eg.
a sickly green in Paint is 86,231,24 or hex color=#53e718
in S3d, it would be 0.3370.9060.094

    2,

    0.01.01.0
    0.01.01.0
    0.00.01.0
    0.00.01.0
    0.00.00.0

Those are the colorings of the water/waves as it flows and crashs on the
shores. The last one being the translucence glow they give off.
Try a few completely opposite colors for tops and bottoms, and it could
look a bit like Oil-spill Rainbows as it is moving 😀

want them to be below water level? Craft the model with it’s center-point
moved downwards that far. Set it’s horizontal center to just at the Fin’s base,
and that part will be what shows on the water.
