as im back into frequently moding I am seeing more and more
problems and thought I would report a few things the game has
    issues with.

    1) fuel on larger maps will break oor not work properly
so if the map is by

    256
    912

the game will only allow fuel to work on some places on the map
my guess is if the starting number is 256 then its only working
    to 256×256

    2) accessories.xml reference to directory problems..

I am getting crashes because I want to use an existing
model in a folder elsewhere in scorched that is *not* in
the accessories folder wich is where the game *only*
wants to allow reference to model types.

so I have to copy the model to accessories wich increases the
size of the mod if I have to use the same exact model folder
    in 2 dif places… for 5-10 models

    example:

    3) some sound parse errors will not show you the full path
to the problem or run off screen so that you cant read it.
so lowering the font or a way to wrap the words so we can
find problems easier might be useful. ((screenshot below))

4)same sound issues again… MANY sounds skip (& or)
trigger other sounds to all play at once and very loudly
after some weapons are fired…. for those who dont set
your sound channels in game settings to 16.. it makes the
mod look & feel very BADly done from an averaged settings
spectators point of view. so a way to somehow fix this *not*
    by choice of channels..

    5) game options channels error… amything after 16 channels
will cause the game to crash.

    6) some players are having issues when downloading the mod
from in game server side.. if the modinfo.xml somehow gets
screwed up the mod thinks its done with downloading the mod..
then trys to load and crashes/burns saying you dont have files
then trys to re download the mod from the beginning.

Have to check out your problem with fuel on my 320×196 map and see if get any problems.

This has been, far as I remember, always the way it has been. Yes it can be a pain if you have alot lf models you use in many different ways.

    1) fuel on larger maps will break oor not work properly
so if the map is by

    Fixed.

However this map is a very strange aspect and I am getting issues running with it on my laptop. Seems to causing a memory corruption in gluResizeImage.

    2) accessories.xml reference to directory problems..

    I know its not ideal.
Couldn’t you just put everything in the accessories folder and make all of the other places reference them from there.

    3) some sound parse errors will not show you the full path

The example you have given does seem to be the full path, notice the ” at the end. Is this another issue?

4)same sound issues again… MANY sounds skip (& or)

Sounds will start again from the beginning when they get out of and then back into range.

trigger other sounds to all play at once and very loudly
    after some weapons are fired….

Is this repeatable, do you have an example?

    5) game options channels error… amything after 16 channels
will cause the game to crash.

This seems to be hardware specific, it doesn’t happen on mine.

Not sure this a modinfo.xml issue, this is just a regular file like all the other mod files. The download should not know the difference.

Again is this repeatable so I can test it?

Good… Was only calc-ing a square piece. reguardless of actual map
dimension. thanks. yes his trench is stretched quite extreme..
but the square theory was most apparent there.

slightly mis-represented. the problem i told him was this:
Downloading a Mod.. Mostly completed.. Disconnected..

One of the file’s missing was a BMP referenced in the Modinfo.xml.

Since the Scorched.exe first load’s in mods, before fully launching, it
    read’s all Modinfo’s..
if one modinfo and it’s referenced file’s are broken, the entire gamestart
fails untill you remove the offending Mod’s folder entirely.
Forcing you to Redownload the entire mod.

maybe simply not display broken mods.. as if the modinfo were not
present? while still checking for partial files (like an update) when
    connecting to redownload.

yeah erm, perhaps I may not have explained that well enough
but most likely this is because I didn’t understand what you told
me happened in the first place during your modinfo errors :

now looking back at what you both said.. heh ..I still dont get it.

as long as you 2 understand eachother… *shrug*

I found small bugs, and one more serious.

The name (AI) Atilla is not good, it is Attila, with double T and single L. It is usually pronounced with double L, but as it is an ancient name, the spelling is not in really synchron with the pronouncination.

The name (AI) Napolean is not good too, it is Napoleon, with O.

“Move 13 of 12” appears usually.

S3D likes to freeze my ATI Mobility Radeon 9000, very much. Sometimes even the built-in anti-freeze solution is freezeing so i need to do a hard-reset on my laptop, but usually it is able to reset the videocard and I can continue playing – after about 20-30 secs. Even is safe mode, without any special feature.

AI names have nothing to do with there playing ability, as it is a few small AI problems have been fixed in next version. ATI cards are a known problem.

I am not talkin about playing ability, but simple misspellings, nothing more.

This is the way they were spelled in the original. While not grammatically correct, they are…. Scorchedly correct.
