So yes I guess you could put the lanes near the islands. Currently the control points have a random aspect however and no check is made that the path does not cross the land.

    Perhaps that is a v2.

After that you define a set of ships to use the shipping lane and they are grouped together.

You’d also need to check pathing after each round, as new dirt might obstruct a previous path.

    Yes I guess so.
Currently I have made sure all lanes are outside the playing area.

Ok I get yah.. makes sence

& no … I dont think ships passing threw land would look good, 😐
like the birds do at low altitudes or how they clump together
in some corners of the walls in a lateral flight.

But, distant ships are better then no ships!
and I am greatful for atleast having that now.

However, maybe some day in a later version you can add
some sort of a 20 tag

So when they get within a radius of land they veer off
in a turn avoiding land or something of that nature.

Then I can shipgroup a couple small boats as I wish
within the defined area inside the walls so players can
closely see the tiny scaled sailboats passing by.

It Might be nice if you could also someday add that to birds too.
    in a lateral sence.

So if they are heading streight for a cliff in flight ..
as soon as they get close to land they fly to a higher altitude.
and never clump together like a flying bird latter.

    They should do this already.
