    Hi everyone,

    I updated my web/game server from fedora core 8 to Fedora Core 9 last night. Everything seems to be working for the web server. I seem to be missing sonme neccessary libraries (libssl.so.6) for scorched to run. I will be trying to find these libraries, but until i find them, my game servers will not run.

    thought I might need to re-compile, so I deleted the old compiled version. Now scorched will not compile on my install of fedora core 9. gives me a

    in main.cpp (line 34)
    common/main.h “void_no_ storage()”
    common/main.h :43: “exit” is not a member of “std”

    error and then crashes back out to the commandline.

    I am using the default install of wxwidgets 2.8.7 ( I thought this might be the culprit) I don’t remember how to recompile wxwidgtes for unicode support. I am not exactly sure what needs to be done here.

    the patch got me past main.h but then i got a whole bunch of deprecated conversion string to char errors throught the rest of the compile until it crashed out on sound.cpp.

    great,… Ever since i upgraded from fedora core 8 (itself upgraded from Fedora Core 6) to fedora core 9, I’ve been having more problems than just with scorched. I’m about to just take my server offline and perform a full re-install of either fedora core 8 or 9.

    Have you tried installing the rpm instead of rebuilding?

    #51738

    I did not consider the rpm because I need the mysql stats to work and the rpm does not have stats support.
