    Not sure if someone can help

    My router recently died so i installed the bt home hub

    since then i cannot access scorched for some reason

    il always fails when its on the authenicating bit, ive unclicked the authenitcation in setting as advised by thrax but this still happens

    i get
    ***client error**** failed to handle rec message type “comsconnectacceptm tcp2 destination 2 net stats

    Are you sure you have the latest version? Try downloading it again and reinstalling…

    yep tried that but no good, pretty sure its the new hub

    maybe i have to put some kind of ip into it somewhere maybe its restricting something

    i got the answer for you jinxy, i had the exact sameproblem, gimme a sec ill go find the answer.

    start/control panel/network and internet connections/network connections

    right click your internet connection and select properties

    click on Internet protocol (TCP/IP) to highlight it (dont chage the tick in the tick box)

    click properties.

    uncheck Obtain server address automatically
    check Use the following DNS server addresses

    enter the following

    Preferred DNS server 208.67.222.222
    Alternate DNS server 208.67.220.220

    It should work now, you may have to download a little app from opendns.com but will proberbly work without it.

    I have had this problem since a home hub was forced on me last year and i havent been able to play since (hence my absence) i only fixed it recently thanx to Lappy 🙂

    Basically BT has a crappy DNS server, this one is much better 😉
