    Comments on the castle:

    still haven’t started working on the burnt version of it as I’m using it as a
    target and even when you have something as a burnt model it disapears
    when destoryed.

    I’v attached my wooden crate if anyone would like to use it. When I’m finally done with the castle I’ll post that too.

    Unless the creators of those mod make a new version there won’t be a new
    version of those mods.

    I’ll try to keep up, I’m on vacation now, so I have plenty of time for about another week. After that, I’ll have less time, but will still try to keep up. 😛

    BTW – if anyone has any ideas I could use in my mod, preferrably related to Final Fantasy (anything will do, though), and doesn’t mind me using their ideas, please email me – I don’t have much inspiration right now… 🙁

    Although I did just think of something – what do people think about a Ghidora ‘tank’? I made a voxel (model made of cubes, basically) of it for Red Alert 2, and might be able to use it here. Maybe disallow weapons except for it’s own special ones? I saw somewhere that you should be able to restrict what weapons tanks can use.

    I don’t know when the next version of scorched3d is coming out but it most likely won’t be for a while yet.

    The best idea would be to start updating your mod for version 40 now so when it comes out you won’t have to spend a lot of time updating.

    I would, my opinion, not add the tanks to the mod itself. many of them need to be fixed, ie you could cut out some of the triangles out that are not seen and not effect how the model looks.

    How can I get v40’s syntax, or better yet, the current v40?

    I’ve looked through sourceforge but couldn’t find it…

    I guess you saw that, version 40 isn’t out yet but the systax for it is.

    Some of the modder have become a kinda “beta testing” group for gavin but you have to beable to get the source yourself from the cvs. As of right now theres no way to get updates for the source because CVS updates are down.

    Actually, I meant the current build/source of v40 – I knew it wasn’t out.

    How would I manage to, if I ever get the source, build the project? Would the project manager in Bloodshed’s DevCpp compiler work, or is there something I need to do to the code? I learn better from the files themselves than from something that lists the tags.

    You would have to ask gavin if the compiler works or the source could be made to work with it, since the game is programed in visual C++.

    You’ll need a program to access the CVS file from sourceforge, the best way to get what you need would be to goto the CVS page on the Scorched3ed project page

    Well, I won’t be able to do much until I get home day after tomorrow, since I don’t have an internet connection – it’s a miracle I found this hotspot, and I won’t be able to come back here after now.

    I will resume my work when I get home.
