    Ok.. so I was looking for good examples for a gfx update for s3d.. and found some good ones.

    Explosion distortion- distortion wave or circle around explosions. scaleable

    Bullet Trail- option for projectiles, does not emit, just follows behind, decay optional?

    Single Particle- Most needed option imo, will be useful for several things!! It will really bring up to date gfx to s3d and still be manageable for lower end machines!! 😀 Blasts, fountains, volcano eruptions, etc.. decay and size/ luminance and texture. (maybe particle clusters?) I tested the explosion paramaters with a special texture, and found the patter it uses. Crossing, could you extend explosion types?

    extended png support for transparency: will allow for many useful things, such as trees, models and trails.

    snap projectile: ability to snap a projectile model to face a defined direction

    eg:
    0 = facing foreward from tank
    180= facing backwards at tank
    90=
    -90=

    etc..

    (will save file size and avoid having to create multiple versions of the same projectile so it can have staged launching. :))

    A radio widget that allows host to stream music through the server for all to enjoy?

    Ya…. That one has been debated and poo-poo’d repeatedly..

    Before BGM was added, we’d begged instead for an mp3-player play-list in
    the client-side.
    Sadly.. shot down almost instantly.

    Being a propriatary format, we cannot use MP3 in any way for an
    open-source or free-ware setup. Even locally played or listed..

    Silly rules.. but there they are.

    I’m still pulling for Midi tho 😀 Free, small, and should play on even the
    oldest of sound chips.

    A group name given to projectiles, this would help tremendously!

    For weapon aimed over and under..

    I have tried numerous times to code a homing weapon for my airplanes.. I wil try to hard code one tommorow using several repeats + collision action..

    I cant seem to map them to enemy tanks .. sigh

    So far, only teams can be used to define the homing lock. Might be handy
    to stop killing yourself with them, but definately keep it an option..

    When activated will disable/hide weapons in the players inventory. Useful for such things as keeping players from teleporting when using movement proof shields.

    small sparks emitted when tank is damaged. Just like the constant smoke.
